UNDERSTANDING THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF ENGINES

These engines are used in chain saws, hedge trimmers, generators & pressure washers. Some of these brands are Green Machine, Yardman, and Pouland. 

They vary in horsepower and cc, such as: 35cc to 40cc’s rated at 1.5 hp. They are made for commercial use, and are popular amongst professional lawn mowers and landscaping services, because of their dependability when used for a particular application.

Type “B” engines are much better made than Type “A” engines and cost twice or three times more than the consumer engines, for the following reasons:

However, when these engines are used for bicycle motors, they too develop engine failure within a year time or sooner. That’s not to say that, with proper maintenance and pedal assisting, these engines will not last longer than a year.

Keep in mind riding will be limited to short distances, such as: campgrounds, marinas and weekend riding.
